Since moving back to Utah, John and I have decided to do less shopping on the weekends (yes, we don't have much money - but we didn't before but we still tended to spend our weekends browsing stores for HOURS!) And to DO more. When we moved to Burley, we were in awe of what people drove to Utah to do - stuff we didn't even do when we had lived there for years! So when Steve told us about an air show that was going on at Hill Air Force Base, we literally hopped in the car and went! And much to our wonderful surprise - Gary and Kathy let Abbey come with us!
The kids got to climb in airplanes and helicopters, it was great! The air show was awesome but very loud - so Jacee and Maddie didn't like it so much.
It was hot but not scorching so overall we had a a great time, we even met up with Kimble and Carter for a while.
Jackson just loved the spiderweb on this one - he thought it was probably spiderman's airplane.
This was a very old plane that had a little door in the back. When Jackson asked the pilot what it was, he said a latrine. Once I explained that it was a bathroom, Jackson decided he had to go to the bathroom - and he wanted to use that one - not the porta-potty.
It was a great day. And so far we are doing pretty well at DOING stuff on the weekends - instead of looking at stuff. (Ok, so last Saturday we do go to Walmart and Target to buy Jacee a bike and to price bike's for me - but then we did go home and ride bikes - so that counts right?)
Anyway, just more stuff for the blog!

How fun. Grampa's glad the kids love airplanes like he does. Thanks for sharing the fun photos.
We've been to that airfield a couple times--and loved all the planes, inside and out, but haven't been to an air show.
Love, Grampa 'n Grama Mission
That looked like a blast!
We are going to go to Utah to do that. My brother works there, so fun! I love the do more, it is what make the memories you children will charish!
Hey, we were there too! So surprised we missed you among the 250,000 other people there! Great free entertainment! I talked to a lady that said to see the Blue Angels it is $45.00 a ticket!
