As we have been preparing for our Summer of Fun! I have once again been struck by how much I love being with family. We have some reunions planned and get-togethers planned and missionary "farewells" planned and we've had graduation parties and missionary call parties and fast Sunday dessert parties and holiday parties.
John and I have had many struggles - but we feel very blessed to have a large and supportive family. For the most part, we all get along and take care of each other and each other's children and just form a big support group with whatever anyone is going through.
It makes me realize how wonderful that the point of all of this, all that we go through - is to be with family. To have someone to love and support you when you need it and also to give that love and support when another is in need.
Thanks family - we sure love being with you and spending time with you and talking with you and crying with you and laughing with you. We are blessed.

... and yes... I shouldn't have read the post... pretty much opened the flood gates that have been building up behind my eyeballs.

(... and it doesn't help that one of the closest people that I have to a sister out here just moved away last weekend... to ... you guessed it... Utah!!)
... okay, better go... gotta scrounge up some tissue to mop up my slobbery face.
