Thanksgiving Re-cap

Jackson's class did a healthy tasting party for Thanksgiving.  The teacher times it so that they are studying the food pyramid and wraps it up that week.  It is great.  A very creative mom send in this turkey for her son's tasty treat - isn't it awesome!
I am Jack's room mom so I get to spend a lot of time in his classroom.  Lucky me!

We have a tradition of getting our nails done the day before we leave for our big Thanksgiving trip to Burley.  Jacee picked metallic gold polish with a stenciled flower design - so cute.

This year Geni organized a turkey bowl.  One thing I love, love, love about John's family is the older kids really include and take care of the little ones.  What great young people we have.
John was the ref but he couldn't help but get in on the action.

Maddie and Jada spent most of their time on the swings.

Jack tackled each big boy randomly - he sure is tough!

Grampa Brent had knee surgery right before Thanksgiving so it was up to the big boys and John to wrangle all the trees and drag them down the mountain.  They did a fabulous job and I LOVE the tree they brought to me.

This is Jacee's first time to go wrangle trees.  John said she dragged an entire tree off the mountain herself.
Our Thanksgiving week is steeped in tradition.  Here we are at our annual bowling night.  Jack wanted to try it without the "thingy" so here he is giving it a throw.
Jacee is getting better and better.  Sometimes I can't believe how grown up she is.

All Maddie cared about was that she got a pink bowling ball - kinda like her mom.

We love Thanksgiving and are so glad Grama and Grampa are willing to host every year.  It's a fabulous time!
